Behind the Scenes of a live concert filming in New York City
For this project, we traveled from our (new) home in southern Maine, to New York City in order to view the first night of the performance. And I’m so glad we went to view that first night. Not only was it a great time to be able to view the show as audience members, but upon our arrival, we discovered that the Green Room 42 had done an entire revamp since the last time we filmed there. The room looked totally different than it had in 2021, so our initial plan of how to capture the show went out the window.
We Are Officially Licensed to Fly Drones
As of a few weeks ago, we are officially licensed to fly drones commercially in the United States! Many don’t know, but in order to fly a drone commercially is the US, one must be certified by the FAA by successfully passing that exam. The exam tests one’s ability to read sectional charts, know the laws that dictate US airspace, and understand weather and how it pertains to flight! (Among other areas of knowledge).
